Foster Care Christmas Outreach

It's time for one of our favorite annual Christmas outreaches! Each year, we receive the Christmas gift wishes of over 150 children in the Monterey County Foster Care System.

Stop by the table after service to sign out an ornament or two that lists a child's name and their Christmas wish list. Gifts are due back NO LATER than Sunday, December 1st, and can be dropped off on Sundays or during the week in the church office entryway.

Important Instructions and Guidelines:

  • Spend time praying for your child! See prompts here.

  • Please spend between $35-$75 on your child.

  • You do not need to purchase every item on the child’s list.

  • If the item(s) requested are out of price range, please do your best to find a suitable substitute, or consider a gift card, especially if the child is older.

  • All items must be returned in a single gift bag (not a shopping/grocery bag), with loose tissue, but NOT wrapped in paper gift wrap.

  • If gifts cannot fit in a single gift bag, please make sure the gift bags are tied together with ribbon so all items make it back to the intended child.

  • Make sure to securely attach the ornament to the gift bag. This is CRITICAL. If the ornament is not on the gift, we will not know which child the gift belongs to!

Because we are partnering with the local government for this outreach, please
DO NOT INCLUDE:

  • Religious material

  • Personal information (no cards or letters)

Return the gifts to the church during Sunday services or during the week between 9am-4pm. Email Kim at kgbthree@comcast.net with any questions.
